The food was pretty good here. The string beans were fresh, but not crunchy. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but the gravy tasted like plastic (I think they should rethink putting hot gravy in a plastic cup.) The chicken sizzler had tons of delicious grilled peppers and onions.
But the main draw was the setting. This restaurant is humungous, especially for such a small town. And the outdoor area where we were was also very large and enjoyable.
I would definitely go here again!

This is the talk of the town.

Maybe I am spoiled after dining well in NYC, but my partner lives in the area and he took us here.

To me, everything seems a little bit much--like the decor. Service is slower, but ask and you shall receive.

The menu: the important stuff. So, food was okay. It was awful but it was also amazing. So keep your expectations low. I do love how diverse the menu is. From wings to seafood. A little bit of everything.

We got the wild Alaska salmon and the stuffed flounder and it was not bad. You get two sides for entrees and the selections aren't too grand: green beans, mashed potatoes, a full boiled potato, or corn.

Beverage selection was nice though. A lot of great drafts to choose from.

This place is huge and reminds me of a scene from Dirty Dancing in the dining hall!  It definitely has charm.  The outdoor seating looks beautiful, can't wait to enjoy it once the weather is nicer.

Our meal was very good, I had the Mac and cheese with chicken and my boyfriend had the burger and french fries.  Both were delicious and our server was pleasant and came around often enough.

Have a big day with the family planned at Alaska Pete's in a couple of weeks after baby's baptism, hope everything turns out well.

Catching up on reviews. We came here last week. Our server was Rose. What a gem. Sweet as she can be. You felt like old friends catching up.
We had fish n chips. So much food! Came with fries, bread, and green beans. Will put this on my list of places to come back to. Highly recommend!
